Zhang Ting, Legal Supervision of Off-school Online Education Platform from the Perspective of Being Inclusive and Prudent
Abstract: With the development of “Interent+Education”, off-school online education platforms have played a role in sharing education resources and promoting education equity. At the same time, there have been many problems that infringe on consumer rights and undermine educational order. This paper discusses the legal difficulties, supervision methods and perfect directions of the off-school online education platform. Based on the principle of being inclusive and prudent, this paper redefines the legal nature of Internet platform supervision, focusing on the supervision mode and supervision methods, and proposes the establishment of a multi-sector supervision mode including such as market, education, network and publicity department, and formulates relevant industry standards for off-school online education platforms, strengthen industry self-discipline construction, and establishes a “Negative List”. Finally, in view of the legal supervision of off-school online education platform, some suggestions for improvement are put forward, including supervision should be based on the regulation of market behavior, formulate the quality criteria for online education, and make full use of the means of education disclosure.
