On the morning of October 10th, the awarding ceremony of the grassroots legislative contact point of Hangzhou Normal University of Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee was held in Cangqian Campus of our school.    At the awarding ceremony, Chen Hongying read out the document "Notice on Increasing the Number of Grassroots Legislative Contact Point of Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee", and Yu Yuemin awarded the plaque to Shen Junru Law School.

   Yu Yuemin pointed out that establishing and perfecting the grassroots legislative contact point system is a beneficial exploration to promote scientific legislation, democratic legislation and legislation according to law. Yu Yuemin hopes that the grassroots legislative contact point of Hangzhou Normal University should keep the "three attributes". In terms of the "basic attributes", it shall hold a down-to-earth attitude, listen to the people's voice, and gather the wisdom of the people; In terms of the "legislative attribute", it shall participate in legislative planning, drafting and revising laws and regulations in an orderly manner; In terms of the "connect attribute", it shall act as a bridge in understanding people's feelings and conveying public opinion.    Chen Chunlei emphasized on how to strengthen the related work of grassroots legislative contact points. First, we should cherish it more than ever. Law schools should play a good role as a bridge between theory and practice, actively participate in local legislation, serve local economy and society, and strive to be the "leading geese" in the construction of "important window" in Hangzhou. Second, we must work harder and live up to our mission. The law school should become a model of the legislative contact point of local universities, strengthen theoretical research, make the greatest contribution, and continue to undertake the duties and missions of the legislative contact point. Third, we should pay more attention to it and form a joint force. Schools and law schools should strengthen communication with the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress. Law schools should make work plans, implement task requirements, and integrate the best resources in schools with scientific research institutes to strive for more achievements.

   At the meeting, Hu Hua said that he would fully support scientific research institutes and law school to carry out the work of legislative contact points. Relevant responsible persons of scientific research institutes and law schools made exchange speeches respectively.

    Grassroots legislative contact points are fixed contact units that assist the NPC Standing Committee in collecting legislative work information and participating in legislative related activities. At present, the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee has set up 21 legislative contact points. In recent years, according to the needs of local economic and social development, the law school gives full play to its professional advantages and talent advantages, actively carries out cooperation between government and schools, and participates in local legislation, law enforcement, judicature and legal publicity activities through various forms. The Ministry of Education, Zhejiang Youth Legal Education Research Center and other platforms have been established in our school one after another.
